Teaching Philosophy
As an instructor, the first priority must be the safety of the students and the horses. Whether child or adult, knowing safety measures and knowing what to do, well enough that it becomes reaction, is important.
Communication is another fundamental that is stressed with the horse, with the instructor and with other riders.
Learning by doing, discussing what they are doing, and
discussing why they are doing it. Recognizing the results for the moment and the long term effects, all of this is a part of lessons.
